Then I got laid off because of crappy economy. Or maybe I just suck, I dunno.
Either way, it solved that problem.

more the question is if you like what you are doing, if the answer is yes then no you havent been doing it too long; if you dont like your job, then any amount of time is too long (and I have done a bunch of those).
So do you like your job?

Well, it's not a common occurrence and an easy fix. The problem simply is that one of the lazy bastard mechanics we have failed to replace the shielding when he put in new carpeting.
I told them about it, and they will fix it.
It's just one of those things that when it happens you have to take a look and say...really? I mean...Really?

I love the idea of my job.
I hate touching fat and hairy old men who are trying alternative healing for their wives. Or the stoners who come into the shop asking if they can get high off sage.

Kumu, you could always try driving your own car - you wouldn't have to pay commission that way either, right? Of course, I guess there are a lot of other factors that go into that...I wouldn't know.
I like my job (only been out of college for 2 years, going back and getting my MBA at night-school now!). I'm a biomedical engineer, so work for me is pretty challenging, interesting, and I learn new things about the body and mechanics almost every day. The people I work with are pretty chill and easy to get along with.
That being said, in 6-8 years I hope I am doing something a bit different (still in the biomedical field, but not engineering).

Yeah, you can't do that. The business is regulated. Insurance requirements, emissions requirements, safety equipment requirements (Seat Belts and such). Regulatory fees and so on.
I really do love my job. Was just one of those nights. Makes ya think sometimes.
